The solid rubber buffers can be securely bolted down on to concrete, asphalt, blocks or even tarmac with a chemical resin. Positioned approx. 2.5 metres away from walls, fences, street furniture or any other hazard, vehicles are kept at a safe distance.
Maximum safe height only 130mm x 150mm wide, they are designed not to cause any damage to vehicles, pull down expensive mud flaps etc. KerbStopper Buffers give the HGV drivers a clear warning that they are parked correctly and safely. Pre-drilled and fitted fixing kits with bolt down zintec metal plates are supplied with all the fixing bolts for all types of road surfaces.
For extra safety and maximum effect, we cut the KerbStopper Buffers to the exact size to suit your site plus or minus 10mm i.e. 2.75 metres. This is free of charge of charge service.
Installation is straightforward and there is no marking out! You simply drill through the corner holes in the factory fitted bolt down zintec fixing plates using a 14mm masonry drill. We supply all the fixing anchor bolts and plugs with detailed fixing instructions.
KerbStopper Buffers can be installed in short lengths for clearly marked out trailer and parking bays or in continuous lengths creating a safety zone where pedestrians can walk.
Reduce the risk of accidental damage to columns, concrete pillars and lighting columns etc, they can also be used to divert traffic and enforce a new or temporary site layout and be quickly re-sited. KerbStopper Buffers are manufactured in solid EPDM rubber for a tough and long service life. The product absorbs impact and quickly recovers back to its original shape when the load is removed recover 99.9% of it shape.
The KerbStopper Buffer profile is the maximum height of buffer that all HGV trailers can be parked safely against without any damage, in particular damage to the mud flaps. When installed the KerbStopper Buffer will follow the shape and camber of site roads and car park surfaces.
Why use solid rubber buffers instead of concrete or steel to park against?
EPDM Rubber is a very strong and durable material. It will deform as a HGV vehicle parks and recovers 99.9% of its shape when the vehicle leaves the trailer bay.
Can the KerbStoppers be installed quickly?
We designed the product with the installation in mind, the zintec metal plates are factory fitted and spaced at approx. 80omm centres. We supply anchor bolts for most road surfaces. For heavy volume and traffic we can fit more fixing plates on to an extruded section of rubber KerbStopper.
Do I have to fit a continuous run? No is the simple answer we extrude and stock 3.00 metre lengths and offer a free of any charge cut to size service to supply the KerbStopper in the exact length you need for your site. In many cases the buffer is fitted in two metre blocks rather than one run.
